Cyber security awareness - can it be fun?

Science public lecture June final

Join Steven Furnell, Professor of CyberSecurity at the º£½ÇºÚÁÏ for this month's Science Public Lecture on the gamification of cybersecurity awareness.

'The ubiquity of digital technology, and our reliance upon it, has made cyber security an important consideration for all users of digital devices. However, getting the message across can be a challenge and cyber awareness is often handled in a tick-box manner. This talk looks at how initial engagement can be made more…fun.'

The talk will take into consideration users' basic cybersecurity awareness and how this can be 'incorporated into a series of gamified activities that can make players more receptive to the cyber security concepts they need to know about. There will also be a chance to play the games.'

No registration is required for this event and everyone is welcome to join:
