How do I become part of the alumni community?
If you studied at the University for at least one term, you automatically become part of our alumni community. If you are not already hearing from us directly, it is likely that we do not have your up-to-date contact details. You can update your contact details and communication preferences
here. This will enable you to select how you would like to hear from us.

How do I request a replacement degree certificate/copy of my transcript?
You can order official documents, including certificates, transcripts, and confirmation letters, via our .
What’s the difference between a transcript and a confirmation letter?
- Transcript – shows your final classification, modules, and marks
- Confirmation of degree letter – confirms your course dates, degree, and graduation detail
Can I use PremierCert+ to view, download, and share my degree certificate and transcript of marks?
If you graduated after 2020, you can use PremierCert+, a secure online portal where you can view, download, and share your degree certificate and transcript of marks. More information is available here.

How can an employer verify my degree?
All requests to verify information regarding current students, leavers or graduates are processed through the .
Can the university verify my documents?
The º£½ÇºÚÁÏ does not verify documents, and we do not stamp and sign certificates.

Can you convert my degree into a GPA or another system?
No — we can only confirm your degree using the University’s grading system.
Can I access my dissertation or thesis?
Schools/Departments hold student essays for a period of 12 months, dissertations for 5 years and theses for a maximum of 12 months. Contact your former school or department to enquire.
All PhD theses are held by the Library.
Can the university provide a reference for me?
No - we are unable to provide personal or academic references. Please contact your former tutor or lecturer. You can contact individual members of staff using the
Staff Look Up search tool.

Staying connected
Can you help me reconnect with former classmates?
To comply with data protection legislation, we are unable to provide any information about whether we hold a record or contact details for someone. However, with your permission we will email your name, contact details and message to the person you are searching for, if we are able to do so. Email

Can I organise a reunion?
Yes, you can organise a reunion for any alumni cohort - we can help promote your reunion to fellow alumni. Find out more on our dedicated page.
The university also organises a regular reunion for those who graduated 50 years ago, known as ‘Golden Reunion’.

Can I visit campus?
Yes - our campuses are open to visitors, though access to some buildings may require permission. Latest information on parking charges.

Accounts and access
Can I still access my student email account?
After the end date of your course you have access to your student email account for
90 days. They remain on the yniversity system for a further
90 days, after which point they are deleted. Further information is available at
Student IT Services.
