Participant Evaluation Results
Participants provided highly positive feedback across all evaluated aspects of two intearctive VR applications of the exhibition - the Galaxy of Suffering and Shadows of the Rain, with consistently strong scores.
- Overall experience: 4.48 / 5
- Music: 4.46 / 5
- Graphics/visuals: 4.48 / 5
- Interaction: 4.57 / 5
These results indicate a very high level of user satisfaction, with interaction receiving the highest rating, suggesting that participants found the VR applications particularly engaging and intuitive to navigate. Music and visual components were also rated very strongly, highlighting the effectiveness of the immersive and artistic design. Some variation in scores reflects the diverse backgrounds and experience levels of participants, particularly those new to VR. Even the lower ratings remained positive, reinforcing the accessibility and overall quality of the experience.
Participants also provided detailed reflections comparing the VR experience with live concert music and commenting on the interactivity of the application. Most participants (19 of 27) noted that the VR music experience felt different from a traditional concert, highlighting the unique qualities of the immersive digital environment. A small number felt the concert version would be better (2 participants), a few considered it the same (3 participants), and three participants judged it worse than experiencing music in interactive VR format. This demonstrates that the VR format offers a distinct and memorable way to experience the music, providing new perspectives on familiar works.
