University Park
Our University Park campus is not far from Nottingham city centre and is easily accessible by car or public transport.
If you plan to travel directly to campus by car, be prepared for slow moving traffic on arrival and departure from campus.
Use the postcodes below in your sat nav to find your way to our University Park campus:
West Entrance: NG7 2QE
North Entrance: NG7 2QB - if you're coming from J25 or approaching from the west, please use North entrance. Please note that some sat nav systems may incorrectly indicate that this entrance is closed.
Important: Please avoid using the postcode NG7 2RD, as it will direct you to the wrong location.
Parking
When you arrive on site, our friendly staff will direct you to available parking.
We’re offering a discounted parking rate of £5 per car payable via the - we’ll share the exclusive event parking code via email the day before the open day.
Please note that due to the volume of cars present on our open days you are not guaranteed a designated parking bay on tarmac. Our car parks for the event are a mixture of tarmac and grassed areas.
Campus is very large, so please allow time to walk to the activities you want to attend after you park.
If you require Blue Badge parking, please let the parking staff know, and they will direct you to an appropriate space.
Travelling by tram and park and ride
To make your journey smoother and avoid traffic congestion, we highly recommend using one of the nearby park and ride sites and taking the tram to University Park campus.
Toton Lane (NG9 7JA) and Phoenix Park (NG8 6AS) park and rides are close to the M1, and the tram runs directly to University Park campus.
From Toton Lane - park and ride:
Take the 'Toton - Hucknall' tram line to the º£½ÇºÚÁÏ stop at the South entrance to University Park campus (please note, there are two stops on University Boulevard).
This is the closest park and ride for anyone arriving via junction 25 of the M1.
Travel time: approximately 20 minutes
From Phoenix Park - park and ride:
Take the Bulwell – Clifton tram to Nottingham station. Get off here and switch to the tram heading towards Toton Lane. Then get off at the º£½ÇºÚÁÏ stop.
This is the closest park and ride for those arriving by junction 26 of the M1.
Travel time: approximately 45 minutes.
Please remember all tram travel is ‘buy before you board’. Please ensure you buy a ticket from the machine at the stop or via the NET app before getting on a tram. For more information including tickets and timetables, please visit the website.
Book a train to Nottingham railway station and make use of our free shuttle buses that are running all day to get you to our campus and back again. Just head out of the main entrance of the station and you’ll see our staff in blue there to help you. Alternatively, you can catch a tram directly from the station to our University Park campus.
Nottingham is easily accessible by coach with arrivals to Broadmarsh bus station in the city centre.
Nottingham City Transport (NCT) are kindly offering free transport for open day visitors. To get your free Grouprider ticket for use on the Nottingham City Transport bus network in the City Zone go to . It can take up to 48 hours to receive the ticket, so don’t leave it too late.
There are regular public bus services that run between University Park campus and Nottingham city centre. Check out to find out more. The buses are fully accessible, with features like wheelchair access, audio-visual displays, and support for various disabilities.
Sutton Bonington
The School of Biosciences and the Vet School are based at our Sutton Bonington campus, a countryside location on the border of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Use the postcodes below in your sat nav to find your way to our Sutton Bonington campus:
West Entrance: LE12 5RD
The West entrance is located opposite building number 2 on the Sutton Bonington Campus map.
There are ongoing roadworks on the A6006 which may impact your journey to Sutton Bonington campus if you are travelling from the south. Please follow diversion signage in place and allow plenty of extra time to get to campus in time for your planned activities.
