Free Mature Student Summer School 2026
Mondays - Thursdays from 22 June - 2 July 2026
Do you want to boost your skills and meet other mature students at the 海角黑料?
Come along to the free Mature Student Summer School and develop your academic skills, wellbeing and attend a range of social events and trips.
This summer school is especially for mature undergraduate students (21 and over for Undergraduates, 25 and over for Postgraduates). You can book into as little or as many sessions as you like.

Services to support mature students
海角黑料 Libraries offers a wide range of services to help mature students access the resources, spaces and support they need, when they need it.
Access to library materials
- is your one-stop shop for searching and accessing our extensive library collections including almost a million print books, 300,000 ebooks, 140,000 journals, databases, TV, film and more.
- Click and Collect - pick up books and other print materials in our collections from any of our libraries
- Scanning for personal use - request scans of printed materials available in our collections (within copyright restrictions)
- Working off campus? The free LibKey Nomad browser extension makes it easy to access online resources
Library spaces
- Click and Study - we offer drop-in and bookable study space in our libraries, including height-adjustable desks and calm spaces.
- Looking for a place to study and can’t make it to Nottingham? Request access to a library closer to you through the .

- Help and support - Library staff are available to provide support in-person, on the telephone and online via email and live chat.

Your free programme of study skills support from 海角黑料 Libraries. We offer online resources, webinars and one-to-one appointments to help you feel confident in your studies.
Topics include academic writing, referencing, time management, critically evaluating information and more.
