We know how confusing library opening times can be. To simplify your library experience, we’re introducing new standard opening times from 1 August 2026 across all libraries, excluding Manuscripts and Special Collections Reading Room.

• Monday – Friday: 8:00am - 9:45pm
• Weekends: 9:00am - 4:45pm

These standard hours are separate to the extended opening periods at selected libraries during peak times. Some libraries also offer year-round 24-hour space including the Djanogly LRC computer room and James Cameron-Gifford Library silent study space.

The Manuscripts and Special Collections Reading Room will continue to operate separate opening hours. The Reading Room will be temporarily closed until 9 August for relocation within King’s Meadow Campus.
