The Disciplinary Procedure forms part of the University’s wider approach to managing performance and standards of conduct. It provides a clear and fair process for addressing concerns about conduct, supporting employees to improve where possible, and ensuring fair and consistent outcomes when formal action is required.

The procedure sets out how conduct issues may be managed both informally and through formal disciplinary action. Wherever possible, the University seeks to support improvement and promote early resolution. Where formal action is required, the procedure ensures that matters are handled consistently, proportionately and with due regard to dignity and respect.
