A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.

Law mentoring programmes

  • Pathways to Practice Mentoring Scheme. A virtual mentoring scheme connecting students from the university's School of Law with practicing solicitors and barristers.
  • Offers mentoring opportunities to care-experienced students aspiring to a career in the legal sector.

Psychology mentoring programme

  •   For aspiring, trainee or qualified educational psychologists (EPs). They have a specific focus on those who identify as coming from an under-represented and/or marginalised group.

Science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) mentoring programmes

  • . A community 40,000+ women working in tech who can connect you with peers and mentors who understand exactly what it’s like to be where you are now.
  • . Open to women and non-binary people in STEM who are committed to unlocking their potential and progressing towards their goals in STEM.
  • An individual mentoring support programme for young women and non-binary folks, aged 15 to 25 years, in the UK and Ireland wanting to work towards a rewarding career in science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM)
  • The scheme supports undergraduate and master’s students planning an animal welfare–focused research project. Participants are matched with an experienced mentor for early-stage project guidance. Applicants do not need to be enrolled in an animal welfare programme, but PhD students and non–project-based mentoring are excluded.
  • . Connects members with 3,500 mentors from tech and non-tech backgrounds supporting mentees with personal and professional development goals, and growing their technical skills.

Social mobility mentoring programmes

  •   Supporting visually impaired young people, aged 11 to 29 years at school, college or university, Look have mentors ready to help you achieve your potential. Sign up to be matched to a mentor and start chatting about anything relating to your visual impairment.
  • A social mobility charity facilitates programmes aimed at young adults (18 - 30 years) to help them gain the skills and confidence they need to progress in their future career. To do this, they partner with businesses to provide industry insights, mentoring, expert advice and more.
  •  Be matched with professionals who are already where you want to be. Get their honest take on your CV and gain insight into different career paths.
Being able to talk to alumni who could relate to the university experience as well as job search in an informal way. Helped demystify job searching and entering the corporate world.
