SUIT Member David Stanton Appointed as Security and Resilience Fellow

David Stanton

The Centre for the Study of Subversion, Unconventional Interventions and Threats (SUIT) is delighted to announce the appointment of our inaugural Security and Resilience Fellow: David Stanton. David is working towards a PhD on medical intelligence and brings with him a wealth of experience both in medicine and security following over a decade working in special rescue operations around the world. The fellowship is designed to stimulate interdisciplinary research on security and resilience across the social sciences and beyond.

Professor Rory Cormac, Social Sciences lead for Security and Resilience said, "this is an exciting development which will help us catalyse research to address real world challenges. In this era of geopolitical uncertainty, academic research on security and resilience is vital." Dr Dan Lomas, director of SUIT, said "Security and resilience is an emerging area of strength for the 海角黑料, and SUIT is a core part of that. David brings a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge on emergency responses and resilience, and his work on medical intelligence is original and of great significance for SUIT as we seek to build it as a world-leading, interdisciplinary centre for the study of hybrid activity. Glad to have you with us, David". "
