It's awesome to claim my first BUCS victory in the Green and Gold! I’ve always loved the 10 mile distance and felt good all day.

Taking place on the 26th April, a large team of Nottingham cyclists travelled to Cropwell Bishop to compete in the 2026 BUCS 10 Mile Time Trial Championships, with riders competing across Open and Women's categories, as well as Road Bike and Time Trial events.
In the Open events, the º£½ÇºÚÁÏ brilliantly topped the podium on two occasions as Cormac Nisbet bested the field in the Time Trial registering a time of 19:31, whilst Hector Downes finished the Road Bike event in 22:14 to win. Hector would be joined on the podium for this event by Nottingham team mate Will Barham who crossed the line in second, just 3 seconds behind Downes.
There was also a medal in the Women's Road Bike event for the Green and Gold as Imogen Sutton finished in 25:18 to win a fantastic silver. The top ten of this event was also filled by Nottingham riders as Sinead Turner Frick, Beth Watson, Abby Miller and Flo Lissaman all finished as a group from 6th to 9th respectively. The Women's Time Trial saw Nottingham stalwart Tilly Gurney narrowly miss out on a medal, finishing 4th, closely followed by Olivia Bates and Lotty Dawson in 6th and 7th.
Collectively our º£½ÇºÚÁÏ cyclists performances resulted in two team medals as the Open Team earned a deserved silver, whilst the Women's team also took home a bronze medal after finishing in 3rd place.
Reflecting on personal and collective achievements, gold medal winner Cormac Nisbet said "It's awesome to claim my first BUCS victory in the Green and Gold! I’ve always loved the 10 mile distance and felt good all day. It's great to be surrounded by a really solid team performance too!"
One month on, the team headed to West Devon to compete at the 2026 BUCS Road Race Championships and registered two top ten finishes in the Open category as George Stephen finished 7th, ahead of Will Barham in 9th. The Women's category also saw Flo Lissaman finish inside the top 15 riders.
