Robin Irons is part of the Low Carbon Energy and Resources Technologies Research group.
Broad experience in research into environmental emissions control, combustion and energy systems. Former senior R&D Manager in energy industry. Director of Centre for Doctoral Training with around 45 doctoral students. Chair of British Flame Research Committee.

Optimisation of combustion of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels
Abatement of SO2, particulate, NOx, CO2 and mercury
