My current research focuses on developing AI-driven data platforms and digital twin architectures for intelligent manufacturing systems.
I led the system architecture design for the Digital Manufacturing Apps Testbed (DMAP), integrating industrial assets with cloud platforms and building real-time data pipelines that enable secure, interoperable manufacturing solutions. I also contributed to the EPSRC-funded Elastic Manufacturing Systems project, exploring how adaptive, scalable infrastructure can support next-generation production environments.
My future research aims to advance the deployment of trustworthy and explainable AI within manufacturing environments, with a particular focus on edge AI, federated learning, and human-AI collaboration on the shop floor. I am interested in developing AI assurance frameworks that allow manufacturers to validate and govern AI behaviour in safety-critical production settings, and in scaling interoperable digital twin ecosystems across distributed manufacturing networks.
