Professor Anna La Chimia presenting her findings at a European Parliament workshop for the Committee on Development (DEVE) in Brussels
Professor La Chimia served as Expert Advisor to the European Parliament’s External Policies and Analysis Support Unit, where she authored a briefing paper on the European Commission’s proposed Global Europe Instrument. Her work analysed procurement eligibility rules and their implications for development effectiveness of EU aid and GEI alignment with EU strategic priorities.
She was invited to present her findings at a European Parliament workshop for the Committee on Development (DEVE) in Brussels (14/04/2026), contributing to high-level policy discussions. The workshop titled Tied aid and strategic procurement was chaired by MEP Barry Andrews, Chair of the DEVE Committee.
