Biography

Siim Trumm is an Associate Professor in the School of Politics and International Relations. Siim joined the º£½ÇºÚÁÏ in 2016, having previously worked at Swansea University and the University of Sheffield. Siim received his PhD in Political Science from the University of Exeter in 2013, and was awarded Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2018.

Siim's research has been published in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Political Research, the British Journal of Political Science, Political Studies, and the British Journal of Politics and International Relations. He is the Principal Investigator of the BBSRC funded "Using Citizen Science to Promote Transparency in British Election Campaigns" grant and runs the with Prof Caitlin Milazzo and Dr Alan Duggan. He also conducts the Estonian Candidate Study and the Welsh Candidate Study.

His current research agenda focuses on gender and electoral campaigns, political communication, and questions of political representation.
