The Nanoscale & Microscale Research Centre (nmRC) is delighted to announce the launch of its 'Look & See' industrial engagement scheme. This new initiative is designed to support eligible small and medium enterprises (SME) by offering free access to advanced materials and technical expertise at the nmRC.
This scheme offers two routes to access support:
- Stream A - Train & Access: Free training to independently access nmRC facilities, with discounted ongoing commercial use.
- Stream B - Discover & Analyse: A free half-day analytical project with our experts to investigate a materials challenge or proof-of-concept question.
The nmRC is a hub of world-class expertise in advanced microscopy, chemical imaging, surface and compositional analysis. We know that many businesses can benefit substantially from such advanced materials characterisation - whether to solve technical challenges, support innovation or better understand material performance - but often lack either a route to access these higher end techniques, or the funding to explore their potential.
This is why we have created 'Look & See' - giving business a chance to do just that.
Eligible facilities include:
- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
- Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
- X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)
- Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (CLSM)
- Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
- Raman Spectroscopy
- Particle Sizing
