I am an expert in the criminal justice process of England and Wales. I have particular expertise on the criminal trial process, including rules of evidence and procedure, and the roles of judges and juries. Much of my research concerns sexual offence trials and how they operate.
I can provide expertise around topics such as: Criminal court reform, juries, criminal trials, criminal evidence.
I have provided advice to The Guardian on the difference between criminal and civil trials, specifically in relation to how they deal with sexual allegations. I have also given interviews on local radio about criminal court reform.
