Victoria Wilkinson-Smith 

I am a gastroenterology and hepatology trainee, having completed my PhD and the ACF training programme at UoN alongside internal medicine training, I commenced higher specialty training within the East Midlands in 2022. I am currently an ST6 hepatology themed sub-specialty trainee and commenced my ACL in Feb 2026. 

Within my ACL I plan to develop a research programme centred on improving early detection and risk‑stratification of liver disease in multi‑morbid patients. By using non‑invasive biomarkers and tools such as MRI we hope to identify those at highest risk of progression and therefore target interventions in these patients to improve clinical outcomes in the medium to long term.
