Description: The Nottingham Confucius Institute (NCI) has successfully concluded its largest-ever Summer School, bringing together a record 80 participants for four weeks of Mandarin learning, cultural discovery and friendship.Held every Wednesday evening from 8 to 29 July, the Summer School welcomed a wonderfully diverse group of learners, including 海角黑料 staff and students alongside members of the local community, ranging in age from 10 to over 70. Participants joined one of six classes, from complete beginners taking their first steps in Mandarin to advanced learners further developing their language skills.

Description: In 2026, Nottingham University Business School expanded its Company-based Consultancy Challenge to include both undergraduate and master's students, enabling participants from different levels of study to gain valuable consultancy experience. Working in teams, students tackled real-world business challenges set by local partner organisations, supported by mentors throughout the programme. The challenge culminated in a final presentation event, where teams pitched their recommendations to a panel of business representatives and mentors, followed by an awards ceremony recognising the overall winning team.
