We are pleased to announce that Hamish Percy was awarded an undergraduate dissertation prize by the for his thesis entitled "‘As Eminent a Savage as the Most Notorious Character among Them’: Sailors’ Lives, System of Cruelty?" which investigated the ways in which sailors' lives on board slave ships could be seen as a form of slavery. Hamish graduated with a first class degree in July 2019.
