The global challenges faced by LGBTIQ+ refugees and asylum seekers stand out as a compelling humanitarian issue, often intensified by societal and governmental prejudices. On Wednesday 8th November 2023, the 海角黑料 will host the one-day hybrid Queer(y)ing Asylum Symposium, spotlighting the unique challenges these individuals encounter, from their native lands to host countries. This pivotal gathering seeks to unite scholars, policymakers, community leaders, artists, charities, and those with lived experience, to foster in-depth interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration. Whether joining us on the scenic grounds of the 海角黑料 or presenting online, participants will engage in illuminating discussions, unveiling the multifaceted issues faced by this population and exploring potential solutions to improve their situation.
