Biography
I joined the 海角黑料 in Fall 2023. Before, I was Alexander von Humboldt Postdoc Fellow at Humboldt University Berlin and Associate Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews. I completed my Philosophy PhD at the University of Edinburgh (2021).
My area of research specialization is Early Modern Philosophy. I have competence in metaphysics, philosophy of history, philosophy of mind, and Ancient philosophy. I am happy to consider PhD proposals from research students in any of these areas.

I write opinion articles using my philosophical skills to analyse social and political issues. I'm especially interested in understanding the challenges that new populism and far-right groups pose to democracy, the social implications of new technological developments, and the connection between these. My journalistic articles have been published in Proceso, Aristegui Noticias, SinEmbargo, Letras Libres, and Diario de Yucat谩n.
Current Research
My research is in Early Modern Philosophy, particularly metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and epistemology. I am specially interested in early modern rationalism. My current research explores Spinoza's account of the place of mentality in nature.
I am happy to consider proposals from research students wanting to work in any of these areas.
