| | Tell us about your journeys for the chance to win a £50 gift card. The responses will help us understand how students and staff travel to our campuses, and assess progress towards acheiving our objectives of reducing carbon emissions and traffic congestion. The survey is open until 12 April and should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

| | We want to support students and colleagues to reduce and replace single-use plastic and disposable items across the University. As part of our wider WasteNott project, we are offering the opportunity to bid for funds to make changes in your department or society to reduce single-use plastics or disposables, up to £300. The fund has been generated through the latte levy which charges 20p for every disposable hot drinks cup used in University cafes.
|
| | A new water fountain map has been created to help you find drinking water across our campuses. In a survey conducted last year around single-use plastics, 98% of respondents pledged to refill drinks bottles. As part of WasteNott we aim to reduce use of plastic bottles by 30% by August 2020.
|
| | UN's Sustainable Development Goal 6 is to Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. In support of this, Dr. Gomes from the Faculty of Engineering shared research underway addressing water, and well as work across our campuses to reduce unnecessary water wastage.

| | The Off-Campus team recently led on engagement days within the ‘Lenton Triangle’ between Derby Road and Ilkeston Road, aiming to raise awareness with student households of one common mistake: putting recyclables into bags for collection. Almost 500 households were visited and provided with information on how to improve their recycling.
