Congratulations to Dr Sharon Clancy and Dr Iain Jones who have been awarded the SCUTREA Ian Martin Award. This was presented for their work with the Centenary Commission on Adult Education Research Circle ‘Building community, democracy and dialogue’, for which they are co-convenors.

The Ian Martin Award recognises exceptional contributions to the theory, practice, or understanding of adult education and lifelong learning, in honour of Ian Martin's legacy of critical scholarship and commitment to social justice.

Dr Sharon Clancy is an Associate Professor in the School of Education. She has been awarded a Leverhumle Research Fellowship and is currently looking at 'Lost Spaces and Untold Stories'; the Vanishing World of Experimental Adult Education. 

Dr Iain Jones is an Honorary Assistant Professor at the School of Education.
