Professor David Murphy, Dr Mike Adkins (School of Education) and Professor Gianni De Fraja (School of Economics) have been successful in a bid to evaluate the use of boarding schools to support care experienced vulnerable children's education. The study will use the National Pupil Database to compare the effect of boarding on academic outcomes at GCSE, A Level and university degree outcomes with care experienced and vulnerable children who do not attend boarding schools.
