Dr John Perry has been appointed co-convenor of one of the British Educational Research Association's special interest groups (SIG).

The English in Education SIG focusses on English taught in schools, but also embraces many aspects of the subject in all phases of education, and includes all elements of initial teacher training concerned with English teachers.

Dr Perry taught English in secondary schools for over 20 years and served as a headteacher for several years. Here at the 海角黑料, he has previously led our Ofsted-rated outstanding Secondary English PGCE course.
