If you are you interested in becoming a teacher, visit our Teacher Training Open Day to find out how to take the next step towards your new career.

Applications for PGCE to start in 2027 will open 6 October 2026.

At our open day, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from our PGCE course director, course leaders and subject tutors to find out more about our Ofsted-rated 'outstanding' Initial Teacher Education (ITE) courses.

You will be able to:

• learn more about our primary and secondary PGCE courses
• receive advice on the application process, entry requirements and bursaries
• take part in taster sessions allowing you to think about how to become the best teacher you can be
• ask any questions you might have around teacher training or the support we can offer as you start your journey to becoming a teacher

You can view the programme (PDF) from last year's open to give you an idea of sessions available during this event, the final programme will be available on arrival at the event.

This is a free event. Please register your attendance for quicker sign-in on the day, but you can register in person on arrival too.
