The Tales from Pavlopetri project builds upon the extensive work done by 海角黑料 academics, alongside colleagues from acrss the world, on teh site of the submerged city of Pavlopetri.
The project seeks to convey the knowledge gained rom this research in a way that is clear, easy to understand, and above all enjoyable to learn!
You have probably heard of Atlantis, a legendary island that sank into the earth “in a single day and night of misfortune”, according to Greek philosopher Plato in 360 BC.
There was no “Atlantis” however. Plato’s tale was just a story and, therefore, can never be found. But did you know that underwater ancient cities are very much a reality?
One of these submerged cities, probably the oldest underwater city in the world, lies at Pavlopetri off the coast of southern Laconia in Greece.
