Title: Investigating the Effects and Determinants of Salience in Coordination Games
Abstract: Strategy salience plays an important role in coordination games. We experimentally study the effects of two sources of salience: equilibrium payoffs and strategy labels. In this presentation, we will show the findings of the first experiment, including new results not covered in previous ones. In particular, we examine how people decide which source to rely on in coordination games and whether this reliance is associated with impulsiveness, cognitive reflection, reasoning depth, social closeness, and performance in classic Schelling games.
