Professor Abigail Hunt recognised with Certificate in Leading Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Professor Abigail Hunt, Professor of Practice at Nottingham University Business School and the Director of Digital and Distance Learning programmes, has been awarded the Certificate in Leading Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) by the Institute for Equity, University Centre, in recognition of her achievements in, and commitment to, advancing inclusive practice.
The award follows a formal assessment process, with the Assessment Panel recognising the quality of Abigail’s work as being of a particularly strong standard.
The Certificate in Leading EDI supports professionals to develop the knowledge and leadership capabilities required to drive meaningful and sustainable changes within organisations and communities. Abigail's successful completion of the programme reflects both her dedication to the field and her ongoing commitment to promoting inclusive environments.
Speaking on the achievement, Abigail Hunt said:
I am incredibly proud to have been awarded this certificate. This programme has strengthened my understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion and reinforced my commitment to creating positive, lasting, change in the fields of archaeology and education.
This recognition not only acknowledges the work undertaken during the programme but also Abigail's continued contribution to the field of equality, diversity and inclusion. She is currently the Chair of Trustees for the Enabled Archaeology Foundation, and her research on access and inclusion in archaeology is recognised both academically and professionally through peer-reviewed publications, advocacy and advisory work, and leadership.
